Okay so i downloaded quite a few brushes for photoshop cs2 and i put them in the right folder but when i go on photoshop they dont show up can anyone help?

As long as they’re abr files and they’re in the right folder it doesn’t matter what the operating system is.
New brushes will usually appear at the end of the Brush Selector dropdown. Click on the Brush Tool, then in the Options Bar click on the Brush Selector and scroll all the way down to the bottom of the list.
If they’re not there, click on the load brushes icon (looks like a big arrowhead) and see if they’re listed there.
An easier way to keep your brushes handy and safe (especially if you ever have to uninstall and reinstall the program) is to keep your new brushes in a separate folder on the Desktop or somewhere easy to find. Then open Photoshop, go to File Locations (which is usually at the end of the Edit menu) and just tell the program where to find your brush folder.
