  1. photoshop over time becomes extremely easy.

also so you know Photoshop is originally intended for mac. so it will be even better on mac than PC

  2. Photoshop is a professional program, so it will take some time and dedication to learn to use it.

I don’t know how well it runs on a Mac (I’m a Windows user).

I’ve used it for approximately 5½ years now. I started when I was 12.
Your best bet to learn how to use it is to follow tutorials online.. Even if the result of the tutorial is something you don’t need (like, “Learn how to create fire text”), you will still have learned something and a different way to use the tools in the program.
As I said, I’ve used it for 5½ years and I haven’t learned half of the programs potential.

It might seem overwhelming when you use it the first time, but don’t worry! Follow tutorials and you will learn the basics in no time! 😉

Btw, get the CS5 version instead. CS4 is outdated. 😉

  3. Its REALLY easy to use once you check out some tutorials that is how all people learn photoshop. Photoshop is REALLY REALLY powerful, nearly everytime you open it you will learn SOMETHING to help you out.

If your doing pro work, get photoshop. But if your talking about fun stuff for you and your family or school, and since your using a mac, i would get pixelmator. Pixelmator is a powerful tool like photoshop but easier to use and probably more fun and advised for people starting out graphics and art, then i would say move on to photoshop.

  4. It is very hard to use if you have no background with it. I would suggest the Adobe Photoshop Elements it is for beginners and has all the tools and options any amateur would need. The full photoshop program is mainly for artists, designers, or photographers.
