According to Adobe, the Mac version of illustrator CS5 runs on OS X Leopard (10.5) and Snow Leopard (10.6). If you have OS X 10.4 or older, you really do need to Upgrade OS X, first.

It’s nearly impossible to find older versions of Illustrator, the TRIAL version, or otherwise, AND, for OS X, too.

Because of CS5’s imminent release (on April 30th, click here to be notified of its release: https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/mmform/index.cfm?name=product_notify ), you can no longer search Adobe’s site to dl the CS4 trial. What you can do, however, is use the old link to the trial:

You will need to sign in with or create an Adobe account to download the trial.

As you likely discovered on Adobe’s website, only PhotoShop CS5 Extended is offered as a downloadable Trial version.

That’s because Adobe removes older versions, when they introduce the latest version.

So, NO, you can’t get a CS 4 legal TRIAL version, from Adobe, or anywhere else. And, most Torrents don’t waste their time with Trials, either. And, it begs the question: WHY CS 4???

I just spent HOURS downloading the free trial of Photoshop CS4 from the Adobe site. And now it has saved a WinRAR file, a folder, and the Adobe Extractor.
BUT whenever I open the Adobe extractor thingy it crashes!!!! 🙁

Can anyone tell me how to extract the ‘files’ it’s on about, or how to make it work?

what the hell? i downloaded the Trial (OFF THE OFFICIAL WEBSITE) of adobe photoshop Cs4. now, when i extracted it, the .exe file is caught by AVG free as a Trojan. should i just ignore it? i mean, i got this off of the official adobe website! how could it be a virus? i think i should just try to install it.
