Perhaps the brushes were meant for Paint Shop Pro as an ‘JBR’ file extension.
I am able to use the same brushes for both Paint Shop and Photoshop. I just change the corresponding file extensions.
Ex. I downloaded grunge brushes for Paint Shop to my desktop, the file name is: corners.JBR
JBR = Jasc BRushes
ABR = Adobe BRushes
I needed a feature in Photoshop, but I didn’t want to open the two programs simutaniously, so I loaded those grunge brushes right into Photoshop by doing a simple step.
1) Right-click on the brush file
2) Click on ‘Properties’ on the bottom of the menu
3) In the input box, it showed: Corners.JBR
I changed ‘Corners.JBR’ to ‘Corners.ABR’
Done, the brushes are ready to import into Photoshop.

Nope. You have a license for one machine. We’re not going to help you break that license.

Question by a&b: How do you get that brush shape in Photoshop that’s sharp at both ends and thick in the middle?
Is Photoshop supposed to come with it, or do I have to set it up myself in brush presets? If I have to set it up myself, what settings should I use? Thanks!

Well first you need a wacom tablet, or cintique. If you just have a mouse, you won’t have the pressure sensitivity to make that feature you speak of, happen.
Second, click on the brushes menu. At the top right of the menu, there should be a tiny arrow pointing down. Click on it. Another window should open. Somewhere in that window there should be a list that says, ” Small Thumbnail, Large Thumbnail, Small List, Large List, & Stroke Thumbnail.” Click on “Stroke Thumbnail”. That should show you the shape of the brush that your talking about.
Now simply click on that brush, and your done. Now paint with it.

I recently got Adobe Photoshop CS3 and am a complete noob(beginner). I really need a forum that supports Adobe Photoshop with downloadable brushes. I also need it to have tutorials. Google, and other search engines doesn’t really work for me =[. Anyone have any ideas to any forums close to this description?
I have a set of eyelash brushes, but they’re only tailored to be used for the right eye. Is there any way that I can flip them to fit the other eye without making a new set?
