Question by ploxxi: How do you view Photoshop brushes (.abr files) without opening Photoshop first?
Answer by Marlee
If they are in the default folder:Open your Applications folder (it will be under Programs on a PC). Find the Presets folder. Inside that is the Brushes folder.
If they aren’t there go to My Computer, then click “C”
Hit the search button and search for the keyword .abr.
They will show up and you can open the folder they are in.
Question by zomfg.hax0rz: How can I disable OpenGL in Photoshop CS4 without actually opening the application?
I’m running (or trying to run) Photoshop CS4 on a 17 inch MBP, but it crashes immediately after opening it. I read that having OpenGL graphics enabled can cause this problem, but I can’t turn them off unless I can get the program to stay open for more than half a second. Is there any way to fix this problem?

Try holding ctrl + alt + del as you start Photoshop. This should reset your Prefs to defaults and may allow you to open the program.
