How do i change the folder that Photoshop opens up for brushes?

Question by ScarzFX: How do i change the folder that Photoshop opens up for brushes?
Normally, when i go to load a brush in photoshop it automatically opens up the folder where all of my downloaded brushes are saved, but now it just shows me the folders on my desktop and Photoshop doesnt allow me to see the folder where i have to go to find my brushes.
Just in case i wasnt clear enough:

How do i make it so Photoshop opens the folder with my brushes by default?

I’m not using photoshop so I don’t know, but I suppose that you can change the options to the desirable ones. Search for a button that says “options” or “preferences” or something and look thoroughly one by one all options…

Sorry I know I didn’t help (I said it only as a idea)

Where is my Photoshop Brush folder?

Question by MiaKitty: Where is my Photoshop Brush folder?
I got a free copy of Photoshop Elements 6.0 with my Bamboo Tablet, and I want to download some brushes for it. Only problem is, I can’t find the folder they go in. Before you offer it up, it’s not under C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 6.0\Presets\Brushes\ So any ideas what the folder could be? I searched my computer for files labeled brushes, it didn’t bring up anything.

Depends somewhat on your operating system. To get around all this, try this. Place all your third party brushes in a folder that you can easily find. Then Edit > Preferences > Plug-ins. Click the box, Additional Plug-ins Folder and find the folder of your third party brushes. Click OK as necessary. Now when you go to Load brushes, it should also list the ones in this folder.

Is there anyway I can make a folder on the adobe brush list for my downloaded brushes so I don’t have to do this anymore?
