Question by Hahaha: How do you make the background black in Photoshop cs4 extended?
I do not like the background, and i just want to make it black. I have done it before i just cannot remember how to!
A picture by the way.

Depending on what’s easier to select, select either the background area; or the the bit you want to keep and inverse the selection (menu Select>Inverse) so you have all the background area selected.
Go to menu Edit>Clear, then Edit>Fill and select black as your fill colour.
Question by Ana Semphrey: in Abobe Photoshop, where is the black & white brush tool located?
In one of my other questions, someone sayed there was a black&white brush tool in Adobe Photoshop, but did not tell me where it was located…can u please help me?

I’m not sure about a brush tool, but if you’re looking to convert an entire image to black and white then go to “image” tab at the top -> mode -> grayscale. Hope that helps.
Question by Alicia K: How do you get a black background on photoshop cs4 extended?

On the left hand side of the screen there is taskbar with all your basic brushes and zomm functions and all the stuff you usualy use. At the bottom of that taskbar ther is a litle square icon, if you put the mouse pointer over it, it says CHANGE SCREEN MODE and the hotkey is F. Click it until you get the mode you want, there is about 3 modes.

Question by bionut: Why do images i copy and paste (from firefox) into Photoshop CS4 have a black background?
If i goto a website, copy an image, and paste it into photoshop CS4, for some reason the background always is black. I never had this problem with CS3 and i can’t figure out why its doing this? Does anyone have any ideas?
The only way i can get around it is to save the image to my harddrive, open in photoshop, copy the image in photoshop, and paste into my other photoshop document.

Perhaps you’re trying to copy an image from a video?
Most video players have the hardware acceleration (or video accelleration, cant remeber which one XD), Which means the video is actually a “second” window (or we can consider it a second layer), and stamp R sist actually takes a screen only of the First layer, Thus everytime you take a Pic of a video it will only show the first layer (Black screen) and not the 2nd layer (The video), You can fix this by deactivating the hardware accelleration (or video accelleration >.>).
While… If it’s not a video or anything like that, It happens to me too sometimes… Dunno why, But i fix it by just simply left click on it once. =P
Hope it helped and sorry for my english, I’m Italian =D

Like when I was using the brush tool I wanted to paint red
but it only showed up grey or black or white depending on the lightness. How do I get my colors to work?
Instead of turning your picture black and white and adding color to eyes or a dress, which i find a little hard, how do you turn your brush black and white?
on photoshop cs3 extended how do u get the brush that paints everything black and white?
check this out: http://www.risd.edu/graduate/images/teaching/wallpaper_1024.jpg I heard it’s a brush but my CS3 doesn’t seem to have it. I’m trying to make a portfolio and it would be really great if I could use this effect.
i am making shapes and everything is black and white. When I change the foreign background to a color like red- the color still remains grey. When I use the paint brush to color a shape- the color is grey. How do I change everything so it is back to normal?
can only color in special parts ( part you want colored )
the first that has the right answer gets ten points
