I’m trying to make several rectangles in photoshop cs4 of the same size, so a identical copy/duplicate is what I’m trying to do. However, the original rectangle keeps vanishing when I try to create a new one. What am I doing wrong??

Create your ideal rectangle. Make it absolutely perfect, colour, line, texture, material etc. Then duplicate the layer that it is on as many times as you need. Make sure that you only apply any lighting effects, shadows etc to all the rectangles once they have been positioned so that the rectangles do not appear as straight copies but individual elements.

I have cs4 on my PC and I just bought an iMac. I’d like to upgrade to cs5 and I’d like to have it on my iMac. Do i have to buy the $ 700 full version or is it possible to just buy the upgrade?

You don’t have Photoshop on the Mac so you can’t upgrade it. You have to buy another copy, regardless of which version you want. (Adobe considers different platforms to be different programs. You can’t “sidegrade” from one to the other.)

So I made a navigation bar using Photoshop CS4, the problem is, I don’t know what to do next. Can someone link me to a tutorial where they teach you how to map the images, and put the HTML online, because, when I sliced the image using Photoshop, and put the code on my site, the links were available, but the images were not visible, so, thanks in advance !

i tried downloading photoshop brushes and using them for PhotoStudio, but they don’t work. if you know, PLEASE reply and let me know!!! lol

You can’t use Photoshop Brushes on Photostudio; the .abr filetype for Photoshop brushes is not going to be recognized by Photostudio. I looked at ArcSoft’s website and there is no info at all about brushes. I suspect you may be stuck with whatever the program comes with. You might want to see if you can contact ArcSoft to find out if there are any more brushes available, or maybe look for user forums; if Photostudio includes a brush engine (like Photoshop does), then you may be able to create your own. If not, what you’ve got in the program is all you will have.

No can do. Adobe Photoshop is not my software of choice. I would work with Paint Shop Pro. Despite all the hype Adobe gets, I think PSP is a hundred times better. Adobe is simply a commercial success. It has no real value.

As I have seen from the web address, the brushes appearing on the bottom are b/w type, I tried regular brush strokes and used filters such as: Filter, Stylize, Glowing Edges or Solarize.

So if I have adobe CS4 installed on my macbook pro right now and I do not have the disc for it anymore and I am planning on getting rid of my computer. Is there anyway i can store it away to reinstall it on my next computer? I dont know the serial number for it.
