I would like to import my resume as a word doc (or docx, or pdf) into my website for viewers to download.

I use Adobe Dreamweaver CS4 and host with godaddy.

THANK YOU!
after messing around with it a bit more, I decided that on my front page I want to image map the link to download the pdf.

Assuming that your webpage and the word document at the same folder

if the file name is resume.doc

Download Resume

—————————————-

if the filename is resume.pdf

Download Resume

Then the users will see hyperlink with text “Download Resume” and when he/she clicks on it he ll be able to get it.

If your document in an another folder, then you have to specify its relative path to the document, withing the href attribute.

  1. In your page create a hyperlink to the word doc , when the users click the hyperlink it will prompt users to download the doc.
