Ok i already downloaded CS4 Extended but i think i installed it n un installed it too many times that it wouldn’t work and keeps saying that licenses has expired….so i then used the CC Cleaner but that also didn’t work so im trying to install CS3 to see if its going to work so can u guys please help me…..i really need photoshop to do my photography projects….

I’m a designer trying to enter a logo for a contest on a websiter, and the site requires that my image be 186×135 px. But My canvas size is WAY too big for that, and when I correct the image sizing in Image>Image Size>Width:186 Height:135. It just pixelates the image. How can I resize the image and keep the resolution where it is? Do I need to use another program to do it?

You’re working with a grid of pixels 186×135. That’s all you are allowed – the competition obviously requires a logo that works at that size.

If they are in the default folder:Open your Applications folder (it will be under Programs on a PC). Find the Presets folder. Inside that is the Brushes folder.

If they aren’t there go to My Computer, then click “C”
Hit the search button and search for the keyword .abr.
They will show up and you can open the folder they are in.

This has more to do with your operating system than with Photoshop. PS does take ‘ownership’ of the BMP format, but you can return it to the OS.

If you’re on Windows 7, you have to make a registry change. This site has a file that can automate the change for you:

I want to get some gimp/photoshop brushes, and use them to make some artwork, but i want to post my artwork on a website. I asked people on DeviantArt for permission to use their brushes, but i never get a response back. So is there any place besides DeviantArt to get brushes, where i don’t have to ask permission to use there brushes? I will cite where i got the brushes if i ever use them in my artwork.

Generally, when you download brushes from DeviantArt, you don’t have to ask for permission to use them. I would read the individual terms of use on each brush, and definitely give credit when you use them, but unless it specifically says that you can’t post artwork using their brushes on other websites, you don’t really need to ask permission.

I’m working with photoshop cs4 and I really need help.
I’m trying to add images to my companys flyer but my background is changing when I’m trying to add images.Can somebody please help
when i am adding an image the background surrounding the image is turning white instead of being the background, what can i do to just add the image without doing anything to the background?please help.this is my companys project and i cannot find a solution

here’s what i would do,
1)open up the image(s) you need to add and the flyer. 2)press “V” (this activates the move tool) then select an image you wanted to add 3)click on the image and drag it to the flyer it should pop up as a separate layer ready for you to bend at your will.

If it doesn’t work you can mail me or possibly send it to me, if you feel comfortable doing that i could check it out and send you back something more solid. Good luck!
