Question by LetItBe17: Is there a way to prevent photoshop cs4 from connecting to the internet?
I was just wondering as I don’t want any of my work stolen somehow via hackers/whoever. Does anyone know a way to stop it connecting from the internet each time?
well i actually turned off the updating in cs4 at least i thought i did. My teacher was saying how all new updates aren’t necessarily a good thing so I turned that part off… or well i thought I did. But it still connects to the internet so yeah any help? I am on a wireless so I can disconnect easy enough from my network but i don’t exactly want to do that everytime i go into photoshop.. thanks for the idea tho.
Answer by Don M
It does this to keep the software up to date. Period
They don;t steal your stuff.
Question by Shannon: Is there a way to use a “healing brush” tool similar to Photoshop in Mac Preview?
Answer by iDesign71
No, you will really need a program like Photoshop or similar to do this sort of photo manipulation.
You could check if Gimp (gimp.org) has the features you need – it’s open source software so it’s a free download and it’s available for mac.
Question by amberoni84: Will my Photoshop CS4 file load onto a computer with CS3 or will there be problems?
If I’m using the trial version of CS4 and save my file, then try to load it onto a computer @ school with CS3 am I going to run into technical problems transferring the info??? Or will everything work out just fine?
Answer by albertyoungfan
I’d imagine it’d work just fine, it’ll be the same file type.
So it should work just fine.
Question by jessica d: is there a way in photoshop to make an eraser out of the brush you have currently selected?
i opened the brush window to see choose the brush i have, but i couldnt even find it there. i made this particular brush into a tool preset a long time ago, so i select it from the tool presets bar instead of the brush menu whenever i want to use it. like is there some kind of hotkey that changes current brush into eraser of the same shape???
Answer by Manish Nautiyal
I don’t think there is any hotkey for that. you will have to choose the shape for your eraser yourself.
In your case, i think u didn’t saved your brush when u created it.

Answer by Alpha Illustrations
I haven’t seen that feature in photoshop or CS. I usually design my art in photoshop and save it as a png file and open it in Paint Shop Pro which the feature you are referring to is available. I designed a sample webpage where I used this feature. http://www.denimsprofessionals.com/SAMPLEWEBPAGE.html
Question by Dorkshire: Is there such a thing as a blending tool on CS4?
Is there such a thing as a blending brush on Photoshop CS4, similar to the blending tools on Painter X? Where can I get this blending tool if there is one? Thanks!
Answer by Tim D
I don’t know the blending tool in Painter X, but I imagine it would be like the smudge and blur tools, the default icon in the tool palette looks like a waterdrop.
Question by D3V!N: Is there a significant difference between Adobe CS3 and Adobe CS4?
If I were to get CS4 (right now I have CS3), would it make any drastic differences? It takes a little bit of time to have videos render with Adobe after effects and Adobe premiere. Would it make any difference with Adobe CS4?
Answer by Redpower
Of course there is. New software with new features, patched bugs and tons of good new things waiting for ya. And, of course, it is more user friendly than ever. in short, it is better than CS4. So it is called NEW. Hope this helps.

Question by ?Elizabeth: Is there braces brush for gimp or photoshop?
I saw some girls and they made pictures and they put braces on the teeth =/ heres there profile
is there a brush to do this?
Answer by Geoffrey
I just took a look at the picture…they just took a normal brush and drew it. There wont be a braces brush because everyone has different teeth and different angles of teeth, so it wont fit properly on pictures…so you have to manually draw them, use a small black brush and draw the outlines of the brackets, and then use a different color for the color you want the braces, then use a gray brush at a small size and change the hardness of the brush and fill it in. What I would do is use a tiny brush with the color grey and make a small dot or square used for the shine…also what you can do for the glare is use a lens flare ( in photoshop…go to filter>lens flare) I really hope this helps…email me if you want more help on it…
