Question by : wacom tablet..Photoshop..Rotate the Brush when you rotate the pen?
im teaching myself how to digitally paint. i use photoshop cs5 and i have a wacom intuos 3 tablet. is it possible that when you spin/rotate your pen the brushes can rotate too??
Answer by Matty B
Kind of. You can go into your brush attributes panel and under “shape dynamics” you can put the angle jitter slider to 0% and set the Control option to Pen Tilt. The brush will rotate based on what angle you hold the pen (leaning toward you, away from you, to the left……you get the idea.) It takes some getting used to but it’s doable.

You can’t really rotate the brushes themselves (although you can open up the brushes palette and try playing around with different brush dynamics and controls, but these general affect using a brush to make strokes). With something like an eyelash brush, where you are using the brush almost like a stamp, applying the brush image once or one at a time, what I would suggest you do is create a new layer and apply the eyelash brush. Now, go up to Edit>Transform and select the Flip Horizontal or try Rotation or a combination. With this on a separate layer, you can also use the Move tool and move the eyelashes more precisely in to place where you need them. You can also use other Transform tools to Scale (change size) or Warp (change the shapes).
You can try things out by creating a new layer for each time you want to apply the brush. This will allow you to experiment without messing up the rest of the image. You can always delete layers you don’t need.
Question by MJiluu: How the heck can I install photoshop brushes & rotate text?
I’m suuuper sloow at learning things. I havea youtube channel; learning how to make a YT background. I don’t know how to rotate fonts or instal PS brushes properly. Help??

You can just simply copy the .abr brush files to the brushes folder usuallly at- “C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS4\Presets\Brushes” or something similar. You can rotate text using the transform/free transform option under the edit menu.

Question by Tomdropthebomb: How do you rotate a layer in Photoshop CS4 animation without it rotating in the other frames?
I’m creating an animation in Photoshop CS4. Whenever I rotate a layer on a new frame it also rotates on the previous frames. I’ve looked about the settings etc and haven’t found a solution. I’m relatively experienced with Photoshop and it’s kinda annoying me! Any help would be amazing!

I’ve downloaded some photoshop brushes but how can i rotate it? E.g. my brush is an arrow pointing to the left. How can I make it point upward, downward, or to the right? fyi I’m using cs4.
Ok, so I made a brush some time ago and I’m using it right now, but I’d like to rotate it (it’s an 8-pointed star-like thing, sort of like a compass rose, but I want to turn it about 20 degrees clockwise). Can anyone tell me how to do this?
Also, how do I rotate a single layer?
Please keep in mind that I’m relatively new to Photoshop… simple, clear instructions would really help me out. Thanks! =)
I really dunno! I have using Paintshop and it’s work easy to rotate the brushes… But in Photoshop, i have awesome brushes, but i can’t rotate it. PLEASE HELP!!!!!
