Where is the brush palette in Adobe Photoshop Elements?

Question by jen: Where is the brush palette in Adobe Photoshop Elements?
Because in the Windows dropdown menu there isn’t a ‘brushes’ option so does anyone know where to find it?
It’s Elements 8.0 so Windows>Brushes doesn’t exist and neither does the palette button on the right side of the options bar. ==

How to Keep the Layers Palette Open in Photoshop CS4?

Question by Regaltwo: How to Keep the Layers Palette Open in Photoshop CS4?
OK, I finally left the dark ages (Photoshop 7) for CS4. But can someone tell me one thing? Is there a way to keep the Layer palette open all the time? I hate this thing were every time I turn around it’s closed again. I know I can click on it again, But having the layers open in front of me all the time helps me keep track of what I’m doing.

Why is it disappearing? Your workspace should save in the position you last left it. If you want to display it, Windows > Layers

If you have the layers in a tab like (Layers / History / Channels) drag the layers into its own window so others don’t popup in front of it.

Does anybody know why I can’t access the Brushes Palette in Photoshop 7, and how can I fix it?

Due to a recent nasty system issue, I have been unable to access Photoshop 7’s brush palette. All I get are a list of brushes. It is extremely important that I fix this, and Adobe is not helping. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
