Question by zatehlun: How do i fix the weird lines that appear when i open photoshop cs4?
i just installed cs4, and whenever i open a new document, weird black/gray lines appear on the screen like this: http://img25.imageshack.us/img25/7751/weirdpsg.jpg
i can’t find any way to remove them
restarting photoshop doesn’t seem to help in this case though…

I personally find that if I just shutdown Photoshop & restart it, that that’s the easiest “quick fix” rather trying to trouble shoot for 10 minutes with no success.
Question by Philip: How do I get lines out of a photo with photoshop CS4 extended?
I have an old black and white photo which has developed white lines over it can I use photoshop to remove the white lines?
If it is possible could someone please tell me how?

Your best possible option is something called the clone stamp tool.

Question by martian santa: Adobe Photoshop brush tool problem. brush strokes always turn out strait lines?
for some reason when i use the the brush tool it always turns out as a strait line and not as a brush stroke that moves with the pen.
it happens only when i use myWacom Intuos-3 in Photoshop. it doesn’t happen when i use the mouse in Photoshop.and it doesn’t happen with the brush tool in adobe flash ( using the Wacom tablet)
can any one help
what is the problem?
thank you JackBond
i think it were the shift keys on the tablet
Answer by JackBond
Make sure the shift key is not pressed, and that nothing is emulating the shift key (like pen buttons on the tablet).
Try unplugging and re-plugging the tablet.
Try resetting the profile for Photoshop.
Try re-installing the driver for the Intuos.

When im working with either gradients or a soft brush style on CS4, I get little yellow lines around it. It seems to only show when im doing anything bigger than 500x500px, but I think i just cant see them on smaller resolutions. Anyone know what this is? Is it an error? Something that is fixable?
ok,when i try to draw in photoshop the lines i draw(with the normal default brushes) always come out uneven and ugly.i see other people who make pictures in photoshop and their lines are curved but they are smooth and not jagged like mine.i have a tablet but it still comes out the same for me.is there a tool that i can make likes like that?please tell me!
When I use the paint brush tool, the lines look…well, sorta a little blurry. I want them to be straight, like the extra colors that make it blurry to go away, but just enough so the line looks very solid. The pen tool doesn’t work, it makes my lines even more distorted.
Just what’s asked above,
how can you make lines made with the paint brush tool more smooth and less bumpy and jagged ?
I’m using a tablet by the way…
