Question by LyssaMonet: HELP! When I download free photoshop brushes and extract them using Winrar, they turn into Adobe Reader9 files?
Answer by Alex O
I can figure out two reasons for this:
1. Reader uses the same file extension name therefore is used by Reader too. This is no problem, just copy the files in your PS folder and run them through Photoshop.
2. The files are fake.

Answer by Matty B
You can save it anywhere. Put a folder on your desktop for you brushes that is easy to find. This is how you load it into your brushes panel.
After you click load, you just have to find that folder you saved you bushes in.

Question by Aliya: How to extract photoshop brushes once you download them?
When I download photoshop brushes it tells me I need to find a program that will let me open it and that my computer doesn’t already have the right program. I select “find a program that will help me do this” and it tells me I need to download a zip program that will extract the files I downloaded so I can use them. Which programs are free out there that I can download to extract my photoshop brushes after I download them?
Answer by geek546

I’ve had GIMP 2.6 for quite some time now. I have just recently been interested in getting some different brushes, as I use it often and would like to try some different styles. But when I downloaded the brushes I wanted, I tried to extract the brushes to the right folder(Computer>C:>Program Files>GIMP>2.0>brushes), but they never show up! I went through the process of making one inside of GIMP and saving it, which worked, yet it still won’t let me extract any. I also tried extracting it somewhere else and then copy/paste into the folder, but that didn’t do anything either. Any help? :/
The question’s self-explanatory.
