Question by sapphire: How can I delete Adobe Photoshop CS4 from my computer?
I have tried deleteing it from the control panel. Everytime I try it says Adobe Bridge is running even though it isn’t. How can I get this off of my computer? Any help is appreciated. I was a trial version that expired.
Answer by Jim
my guess is that adobe bridge starts automagically when the machine starts up. right click on the toolbar at the bottom of the windows desktop, choose task manager, then to to the processes tab. find the adobe entry in process tab, right click on the process name, and end the process. After that, you should be able to delete the program from the control panel.
Question by Jarad: what’s a simple way to delete photoshop brushes?
Answer by Alex
By pure accident I found out how to quickly delete a Photoshop brush from the preset list. This comes in very handy when you’re trying to save a custom brush set and don’t want any superfluous brushes to be in your .abr file. There’s a tedious way, which means right-clicking on each brush and selecting delete. There’s the obvious one by clicking the thrash icon in the brush palette. Finally there’s a hidden, much simpler, quicker way: hold the Alt-Key while clicking on the brushes you don’t want. A little pair of scissors should appear which indicates that you’re about to remove that particular brush. So simply Alt-click through your brush palette to delete them one by one. That’ll save you precious seconds and we all know that time-saving is very important when designing. FYI I am running Photoshop CS3 on a Mac so I’m not sure how compatible this shortcut is with other versions. Unfortunaltely I couldn’t produce a screenshot of the technique. It should be fairly straightforward though.

Question by Adam Y: How do i Delete a item in Adobe Illustrator CS4?
How do i Delete a item in Adobe Illustrator CS4 or What is the Hotkey?
Answer by Andy D
Believe it or not, its just delete. If its multiple items you choose one of your selection tools, drag round it and press delete. If its more than one in seperate areas you press CTRL and drag round that too. Any questions you can still use the help menu at the top right corner and find the shortcut keys in there
Question by Rabidkittens: Is there a faster way to delete brushes in photoshop?
Recently went nuts getting freebie brushes and need to delete the excess. Does it go any faster than one at a time, confirmation screen, then reloads? That’s tedious! lol

Question by Troy: Does anyone know how to delete a drop shadow from an Illustrator CS4/vector file?
I have a file that I have imported (created by a customer) into Illustrator CS4. The logo is vectored but has a drop shadow which I need to remove. I have looked in both the layers palette and the appearance palette but there is no info on the effect. Does anyone have any idea how to remove that pesky shadow?
Answer by Tim D
Unless it is embedded it will appear in one of the sublayers in the layer menu, open up all the layers (little triangle to the left) to reveal the sublayers one of them should have a filled grey circle to the right, that will be where the effect is. However if it is not appearing in the appearance palette it might be rasterised and embedded in which case you will need to make a clipping path to mask it.

I have photoshop cs3 extended but I want to download the free trial of photoshop cs4. Do I have to completely delete cs3 before getting cs4?
Also, if you don’t have to delete it, can you delete it after cs4 is installed or would that remove some things that cs4 needs?
Answer by RonS [WINDOWS-TEAM]
Usually, with software like CS4, you will need to delete the other files. You should get this info when you start installation.

I want to get rid of some of my old brushes and I have deleted them from the C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS3\Presets\Brushes folder and from the recycle bin too. But when I open up the CS3 program and look at the brushes, they are all still there….I can’t figure it out. Help?
