How do I import my own fonts into Photoshop CS4?

I’ve looked around, and I can’t seem to find an answer that has worked for me.

And would you know how to import brushes as well, please?
Thankyou 🙂

  1. your fonts should show up when you open photoshop. they do on mine. & for your brushes, if you have the abr file you can click on that & it will open them in photoshop. if not you can go to file> import> brushes, i think.

    hope this helps =)

  2. It’s very easy. To import fonts you just have to install them into the font folder, you are using windows, right? If you are in XP, look for the folder Fonts in the folder Windows in the C unit (your hard disk)
if you are in Vista, enter the folder Fonts in the folder Windows in the C unit (your hard disk)

you paste there the fonts you got (unzipped, of course) and windows will install them. After this, you will be able to use the fonts everywhere, not just in photoshop but in word and power point and everywhere as well.

To import brushes, select the brush tool in photoshop, and go to the menu that appears only when you select that. In the upper part of thw program, there’s now a model of your brush (most likely the circle, that’s the default brush). Next to it is a button with a triangle pointing down, click it. Afther that, in the menu that pops up click in a little button with a triangle pointing to the right and select “load brushes”
then you select them where you have them saved and that’s it.

The brushes will stay there always, I think.
    Enjoy Photoshop!
