Question by Aiden: Do i need too put in a CD key for Photoshop CS4 when i upgrade to windows 7 from XP?
I currently have Windows XP and i want to upgrade to Windows 7. The problem is, the 2 programs (Microsoft Office 2007 and Photoshop CS4) had already been installed on my laptop but didn’t come with the disks. I need too have these programs for School work and personal use. So when i install windows 7, will these programs not work? Is there a way to get the CD key without the disk? I need help people.

You cant do a direct upgrade from XP to Win 7. It has to be a clean install. You will have to reinstall all of your software again. So yes, you will have to re-enter your Photoshop CS4 key.
You will need to purchase CS4 in order to reinstall it. But you might want to wait. CS5 is due out soon.

Some laptop makers put product keys on underside stickers. You might also find these keys in your documentation. Hope you didn’t just throw it all away…
krogure has got it…exactly… no direct from xp to win 7.
sorry then if no disks then nope they will be totaled when you install win 7 have to have the disks or at least install files and your product keys.

if the copies you have now are legit call adobe on it they may be able to help. but it sounds like your stuck.
