How to darken colours in Adobe photoshop ?

I am using adobe photoshop CS on my home computer. The colors that are being used in Brush are displaying very light. Is there any option to darken the colors. ? plz tell.. I am using this software for the first time. Plz specify clearly which option to select for darkening the colours ……

U’r using it for the first time… that’s the problem.. Fine.. Go with this…
U must know the colour doc present in the tools window. you have 2 color options.., one the foreground and another the background. NOrmally, u work with the foreground color. When u click on that, u’ll find a ‘color picker’ window. There it’s easy to choose any color. I think u know know all these.
U’r problem is u’re not getting the exact color u choose.., instead a lighter version of the same.. If this is your problem… This would be the cause for it.. , When u use brush tool, at the top u can find a bar stating different aspects of the brush tool. You’ll have ‘opacity’ and ‘fill ‘ boxes there if they are not in ’100%’, you’ll have reduced tint according to the percentage that lacks.
I tell u Photoshop is a very easy software that u can learn it without a course. But, u must use it for a long time.. work.. work.. more… do funny things… fire up your thoughts & give lives to yor imaginations.. Do whatever… You can learn it very well.. All te best..
