The easiest way is to go to:
http://browse.deviantart.com/resources/a…
Then download what you want. Create a folder anywhere you like that will not be accidentally deleted, and extract all the content there. If you want you can be more organized and give each brush set its own folder, then set up gimp to read those particular folders.
Now open up GIMP, click on Edit > Preferences. You will see a column on the left with Environment, Interface, Themes, &c., At the bottom Folders with an arrow on the left of it. Click the arrow to expand the Folders Options. Under the Folders option you will see brushes, when clicked on the settings are shown, that is the brush folders. There will only be one folder that is active, all you need to do is click on the create icon and locate the folder that you created with the brushes. Restart Gimp (that is close is completely and load it back up) and the new brushes will be there.
