Have you considered reading the help files? They tend to answer most questions I have about it…..

Click on the Paintbrush Tool. Click on the Brush Icon over on the right side of the Brush Tool Options bar above the workspace. It looks like a nice little graphic of a brush but it actually does something. It opens the brush tools options dialog.

At the bottom of the dialog you can change the angle and the roundness by typing numbers in the boxes……Or, if you click on each of the four lines in the circle graph you’ll notice the line you click on gets the arrowhead and the angle in the box changes. If you click and hold on the lines, you can drag them around the circle to change the angle.

You didn’t ask about this but notice that there are two dots opposite each other on the perimeter of the circle graph. Click and hold on either of these and drag the circle in and out to change the brush’s roundness.

Important: After you change a brush and use it, when you select another brush it will have the same attributes as the last one. Before you use it, click on the little arrowhead on the far left side of the Brush Tool Options bar and click on Reset This Tool.

There are only a few of these “hidden” clicking places in Elements but there are a ton of them in the regular Photoshop. Using these programs is like a Treasure Hunt;-)
