Whats the difference between GIMP brushes and photoshop brushes?
are they the exact same thing?
like if I downloaded GIMP, would I be able to use all of my .abr photoshop brushes?

Yes Gimp brushes and photoshop brushes are different.Here is the difference Gimp brushes have the .GBR extension and photoshop brushes have the .ABR extension.And yes if you down load the gimp you can use photoshop brushes with it. Yes you would be able to do that, support for .abr was implemented into the GIMP a long time ago, there is no need to convert the brushes anymore, just put the .abr file in the GIMP brush folder.
