Question by Zoono: Does anyone know where I can find Aura brushes for photoshop?
I’m working for this animation company in South Africa. My boss has been using this software called Aura for years. Now the times have kinda moved on and we want to convince my boss to move over to Photoshop to clean up frames. Problem is the brushes in Photoshop aren’t the same as in Aura. Does anyone know where I can download these? Please help!!! I can’t stand using Aura any more. much thanks

Why? For animation projects Photoshop isn’t your best option either. Photoshop has animation capabilities, yes, but it has very limited capabilities. You have far better choices out there for editing and cleaning up animation frames. With Photoshop, depending on the type of clean up needed, you might have to do it frame by frame since it’s very limited. Also, they don’t have tweening for shapes and sizes. Photoshop has it for position (x, y), effets, and opacity ONLY.

Adjustment layers can be applied globally though. So Photoshop might be good to use in conjunction with Aura, but not as a replacement program. But again, it depends on your needs. I would imagine an “animation company” needs something more than Photoshop though.
