if you select brush (it should be on the left hand-side of your screen) you can select the Brush diameter, mode, opacity and the flow that it comes out. once you select it, you can choose the colour you want on the bottom of you left-hand toolbar. you need to state what version of photoshop your’re using for better help!

Photoshop is just a digital version of photo editing that used to be done without computers. You have to think of it that way when you use it. Brushes on photoshop are exactly what they sound like: brushes. The features they have vary drastically but a brush is a brush, right? You can paint, reveal history states, draw patterns, whatever. There is way to much for me to explain here, so go to the help menu in Photoshop and do a search for brushes in the browser window that pops open.

    Help>Photoshop Help>search>brushes
