Photoshop healing brush problem 10 points?

Author Riddles    Category General     Tags , , , ,

Question by dude: Photoshop healing brush problem 10 points?
I am using the healing brush on a duplicate layer from the original, there is no difference between the original and the duplicate right now. I used the healing brush to fix redness above my lip, pressed alt/click on a white patch of skin, and as I tried to cover up the redness, I notice it doesn’t brush on the cloned patch of skin, but rather erases as if there is a picture underneath the copy. Like I brush on the skin and for some reason my lips and nose show up, and not only that, they show up a half a inch higher than where they naturally are.
this happens with the clone stamp too

Maybe you could switch to the clone stamp and just take the skin next to the area and cover it up?

Answer by Deez
I may be wrong but unless the photo was color…then you made it black and white…you won’t be able to add color. I.E. if you have a greyscale photo only you can only add greyscale colors… You may be able to select image/mode and choose RGB color or something…

Q&A: How to change my brush thickness in Photoshop? Coloring lineart with PS?

Question by : How to change my brush thickness in Photoshop? Coloring lineart with PS?
So in photoshop if you change your opacity, when you brush onto your brushes (if that makes sense) it gets darker. This way you can shade…

I am currently coloring my lineart. I don’t want to shade, just to layer it with color. So how can I change the opacity so that my brush isn’t thick, and it doesn’t cover the whole drawing (so you can still see the lines of the lineart) but so that when I brush onto my brushees it doesnt get darker…? Because i cant just shade everything without letting go of the mouse button.

I hope you got that. Sorry.

Q&A: Get Adobe Flash Brush tool in Photoshop?

Author Riddles    Category General     Tags , , , ,

Question by Colin: Get Adobe Flash Brush tool in Photoshop?
Photoshop comes with a Brush tool, but is there anyway I can make it “act” like the one in Flash? I’m trying to draw over sketch art, but I don’t have a tablet and I’m stuck with a mouse. But when I use the brush tool in PS, the lines aren’t nearly as smooth as the lines in Flash w/ its brush tool (in flash, it seems to smooth/round up the line). Is there any way I can get that functionality in PS? I know in Illustrator CS4 they added a feature like that.

When you click on the Brush Tool in the Toolbar a brush tool Options Bar appears above the workspace. Over on the left side is a long rectangle with a graphic of the brush shape that’s selected. On this rectangle’s right side is a little dropdown arrow that you click on to open the Brush Selector. At the top of the Brush Selector is another long rectangle showing the name of the current brush set that’s displayed in all the little boxes. To the right of the brush set name is another little dropdown arrow. Clicking on this one displays all the brush sets that have been installed in the program. Your brush set should be listed.

Notice over on the right side of the brush selector is another, larger arrow. Click on it to see a bunch of options including making the thumbnails of the brushes in the brush selector bigger. I thought I was going to go blind trying to see the brushes until I discovered how to make them bigger;-) If you have brushes in other folders, you can use Load to browse to them and install them temporarily. This is handy when you start getting a lot of brush sets and don’t want to put them all into the Brushes folder in Presets.

Two more things about brushes: Any tool that uses a brush (the brush tool, the clone tool, the selection brush, etc.) can get a little whacky at times. This happens in Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro, too. Up in the options bar, way over on the left side in the corner is a little arrow. When you click on it two options appear Reset This Tool and Reset All Tools. If you click Reset This Tool, the tool will be reset to default and behave.

Also, over on the right side of the Brush Tool Options Bar is what looks like a pretty picture of a brush. Click on it to show the Brush Settings dialog, including brush hardness. If you change any of the Brush settings, the next time you use the brush be sure to reset it.

if you select brush (it should be on the left hand-side of your screen) you can select the Brush diameter, mode, opacity and the flow that it comes out. once you select it, you can choose the colour you want on the bottom of you left-hand toolbar. you need to state what version of photoshop your’re using for better help!

She’s using a brush to put the diamonds on there.
&I reeeeeally want that brush but I can’t find id ANYWHERE and she hasn’t reponded to my query on where she got it.

Answer:

Answer by kaiy2k
That isn’t a diamond brush. If you look at the layers, there is a blue layer background that has the diamonds on it.

There are 3 layers.

The top layer is the woman outlined.

The middle layer is the blue vignette with diamond shapes in it. It looks like the outline mask was expanded and used to delete the blue background so that it looks like the woman is outlined in blue.

The bottom layer is the original photo.
